Affenpoo Description
The Affenpoo is a hybrid dog breed, and is a cross between a Affenpinscher and a Poodle. Affenpoo's are small dogs that weigh around 7-9lbs and usually are between 9-11 inches tall when fully grown. Since Affenpoos are bred from both Affenpinschers and Poodles, they can inherit unique behaviors from either breed.
Most Affenpoo owners claim they are intelligent and cheerful dogs that are intelligent and need very little maintenance.
Affenpoos are hybrid dogs, which means they are bred from two different types of purebred dogs. Hybrid dogs are becoming popular because you can breed dogs with favorable characteristics of one or more other breeds.
The drawback of hybrid dogs is you cannot predict which characteristics your dog may have. For example, some Affenpoos inherit the Poodle's protective temperament, which can make that litter of Affenpoos less tolerant of other pets and small children. However, some Affenpoos will inherit the Affenpinscher's temperament and will be fine around other pets and small children.
Affenpoo are bred using any of the following ways:
Purebred Affenpinscher with Purebred Poodle
Purebred Affenpinscher with Purebred Toy Poodle
Affenpoo with another Affenpoo

Affenpoo Temperament
Affenpoo's are generally alert, friendly, and intelligent dogs. Since they are a hybrid dog, they can inherit the temperament of Affenpinschers or Poodles. While some Affenpoos are great with children and other pets, some Affenpoos can become grumpy if harassed, so Affenpoos are not recommended for households with small children.
Because Affenpoos are alert dogs, they make very good watch dogs that will bark at anything suspicious. Affenpoos are also fairly intelligent and can learn tricks easily.
Affenpoo Health
The Affenpoo has a life expectancy of 10-13 years. Since it is a hybrid dog, little is known about potential health problems, however, it could inherit health issues common with either Poodles or Affenpinschers.

Exercise Requirements – Affenpoos do not require very much exercise and can get their daily exercise by either playing or through a short walk.
